Electric Current - Voltage
The electricity supply in Cyprus is 240 volts, a.c. 50Hz. Sockets are mainly 13amp, square-pin in the majority of buildings.
Using more than one low current rating appliance may be operated form the same supply point, by using an adaptor (i.e. radios, electric clocks etc.)
When operating high current rating appliances the use of adaptors is not recommended (i.e. electric clocks radio’s etc.)
Adaptors are supplied by many Hotels, these need to be requested from the reception area. Adaptors may be purchased from supermarkets, grocery stores, electrical outlets, approximate cost of €2.
